Job summary

You will work within the HSC-Div of Rsrch & Innovation, ensuring welfare, housing sanitation, and compliance with established standards in collaboration with veterinary and animal care staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with two years of related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
• ALAT certification required within one year of employment.
• Tetanus vaccination up to date as part of required qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled care and husbandry of research animals in conventional and specialized housing areas.
• Receives animals, verifies accuracy of orders and health of the animals.
• Processes micro and macro animal housing equipment and sanitation tasks.
• Sanitizes facilities, housing, and equipment in compliance with animal care standards.
• Observes animals and reports signs of illness or injury; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Handles animals, transports them, and manages disposal of carcasses.
