Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Monitor daily animal health and welfare.
• Maintain accurate housing/support area records as per SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Review, comprehend and comply with SOPs and QA standards.
• Monitor daily animal health/welfare with health observations.
• Perform animal husbandry duties: feeding, cage checks, cleaning.
• Assist with restraint and handling of animal species as assigned.
• Dispose of animal carcasses following procedures.
• Observe and report problems with care equipment and systems.
• Maintain housing/support area records and record health concerns.
• Receive, inspect and store incoming animals; ensure sentinel animals are provided.
• Operate equipment and use supplies according to safety guidelines.
• Sanitize facilities and equipment; perform general housekeeping and safety.
