  • Champion feedback and provide oversight to contingent labor and promote collaboration.
  • Manage inventory levels of reagents and consumables.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analyses for issues.
  • Engage in Bayer’s safety program and support cross-site projects.
  • Take ownership of additional responsibilities to support business goals.
  • Position may require driving a company vehicle.

LAB ANALYST I
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Involves conducting chemical and physical analyses in a production site laboratory. Responsibilities include performing product release and in- process control tests, conducting stability tests, maintaining and calibrating analytical equipment, managing sample administration in SAP/LIMS, and performing root cause analyses for nonconformities. Additionally, the role supports GMP operations through computer system validation, method validation, raw data control and archiving, and the creation of GMP documents and regulations.

The primary responsibilities of this role, Lab Analyst I, are to:

  • Conduct timely and accurate preparation, evaluation, and recording of seed analyses to ensure high-quality results;
  • Collaborate with Unit Lead(s) and End-to-End Mission team to complete testing processes, shaping process control and accurate data management;
  • Take ownership of learning and applying scientific methods and non-routine techniques for analysis, following protocols and work instructions to deliver quality results, including preparation of reagents, media, controls, and samples;
  • Operate independently within a team environment to ensure compliance with Bayer’s ESH policies, Laboratory Quality Management System (QMS), and regulatory requirements;
  • Champion feedback and provide oversight to contingent labor, fostering a culture of shared ownership and collaboration;
  • Manage inventory levels of reagents and consumables to ensure smooth lab operations;
  • Take initiative to participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing processes and performing root cause analyses to troubleshoot issues;
  • Engage in Bayer’s ESH safety program and contribute to cross-site projects and initiatives, promoting a culture of safety and collaboration;
  • Take ownership of additional responsibilities as needed to support business goals;
  • Position entails driving a company vehicle. This may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicleORbeing expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties – regardless of mileage.
WHO YOU ARE

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma with prior lab experience;
  • Strong knowledge of basic laboratory techniques;
  • Fluent in English with the ability to read, write, and speak effectively;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Valid driver's license (in order tobe eligible to drive acompany car, your driving record must meet guidelines basedon the company’s risk screening for hiring drivers – MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employmentscreening);
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
  • Ability to work as a team member and effectively communicate within a multicultural environment;
  • Detailed oriented with the ability to multitask in a high throughput environment;
  • This position may require a change in shift hours;
  • Weekend and overtime work as required,
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and 3+ years of laboratory experience;
  • AA or AS degree.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $41,360.00 - $62,040.00 . Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant's location, market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
