Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation in Avon Lake, OH is seeking a Lab Analyst to ensure quality and reliability of materials across multiple laboratories. You will perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products, following ISO 9001 and GDP practices.

You will troubleshoot instruments, analyze results, prepare solutions, document activities in SAP and LIMS, and collaborate with operations to resolve quality issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift, with overtime as needed.
• Strong laboratory troubleshooting and analytical equipment skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn SAP/LIMS.
• Strong written and spoken communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and specials.
• Analyze, interpret, and report test results to support manufacturing operations.
• Review laboratory data, identify out-of-spec results, and assist investigations and corrective actions.
• Operate, troubleshoot, qualify, and validate instruments and methods to ensure reliability.
• Prepare solutions, document activities in notebooks, SAP, and LIMS, and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to communicate results and resolve issues.
• Support development and improvement of standard work procedures and test methods.
• Train and mentor new team members on core lab techniques and safety practices.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in a fast-paced lab environment.

In this role, you will:

Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process materials, finished products, and special samples while following laboratory procedures, ISO 9001 guidelines, and Good Documentation Practices.

Analyze, interpret, and report test results accurately andin a timely mannerto support manufacturing operations and business needs.

Review and approve laboratory data,identifyout-of-specification results, andassistwith investigations, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.

Operate,maintain, troubleshoot, qualify, andvalidatelaboratory instruments and test methods to ensure reliable performance.

Prepare laboratory solutions, document activities in laboratory notebooks, SAP, and Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), andmaintainaccuraterecords.

Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to communicate results, support customer requests, and resolve quality-related issues.

Support the development and improvement of standard work procedures, standard operating procedures, test methods, protocols, and reports.

Train and mentor new team members on core laboratory techniques, safety practices, and quality standards.

Prioritize multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment whilemaintainingexceptional laboratory housekeeping and safety compliance.

Promote a strong safety culture by following environmental, health, safety, and chemical hygiene requirements and disposing of chemicals responsibly.

Required Qualifications that Enable Your Success

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent from an accredited institution.

Ability toworkona 12-hour rotating shift schedule and willingness to work overtime asrequired.

Strong laboratory troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude for analytical equipment and instrumentation.

Knowledge of laboratory mathematics, measurements, units, and calculations.

Proficiencywith Microsoft Office applications; willingness to learn and useadditionalbusiness systems and software.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to teamwork and respect for others.

Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments whilemaintainingattention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with employees at all levels of the organization.

Commitment to safe work practices, quality standards, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications that Drive You Forward

Associate'sorBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Technology, or a related scientific field.

Experience inchemicalmanufacturing, analytical laboratory, research and development, or quality control environment.

Experience using SAP, Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), SharePoint, or similar business systems.

Previousexperience supporting instrument qualifications, method validations, or laboratory investigations.

Standing, walking, or operating equipment for extended periods

Working in a lab or manufacturing setting withappropriate PPEprovided

Use of computers and digital tools in an office or hybrid environment

Occasional lifting or movement of materials

Adherence to rigorous safety protocols and ergonomic standards
