Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center, a part of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking a part-time Laboratory Technician for the day shift. You will answer pneumatic tube stations, receive specimens, prioritize stat/routine samples, and deliver them for testing in a high-paced lab environment.

The role entails processing specimens, verifying correct specimens for tests, and ensuring accurate patient records within the LIS. 20 hours weekly; shift 9am–1pm with alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Laboratory experience preferred; or clinical office experience with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and processes specimens with proper techniques.
• Verifies correct specimen for the requested test and enters accessioning in the system.
• Confirms patient records per departmental guidelines and corrects as needed.
