Job summary

Saddleback Valley Unified School District - ELS Department is seeking enthusiastic leaders for the TLC Before and After School Child Care Team. You’ll help run a safe, engaging program for K-6 students and plan fun activities after school.

The role emphasizes playful learning, supervision of Student Child Care Leaders, and records-keeping. Two years of college or 48 units required; an exam may be offered for those with less college credit.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or 48 units, or an AA degree or higher.
• If no college credits, District Proficiency Exam in mathematics, reading, and writing.
• Ability to keep records and communicate effectively.
• Ability to lead activities for K-6 children.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead exciting activities that keep children engaged and learning.

What You’ll Do:

• Be part of facilitating an awesome, engaging child care program for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
• Plan, organize, and lead exciting activities that keep children engaged and learning.
• Supervise school-age children and guide Student Child Care Leaders, making sure everyone has fun while staying safe.

What You Need:

• A smile! Be ready to bring out the best in children through sports, games, crafts, and activities.
• Basic skills in math, reading, and writing, with the ability to keep records and communicate effectively.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Have completed two years of college or 48 units, or an AA degree or higher.
• No college credits? No problem. Take a brief District Proficiency Exam in mathematics, reading, and writing. A test can be scheduled here.
