Job summary

Join the TLC Before and After School Child Care Team at Saddleback Valley Unified School District - ELS Department. We’re looking for enthusiastic leaders who love to play and guide children in a safe, engaging setting for Kindergarten through 6th grade.

Shift hours are Monday through Friday, with morning and afternoon blocks. You will plan exciting activities, supervise students, and mentor Student Child Care Leaders to create memorable, educational experiences.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or 48 units, or an AA degree or higher.
• Ability to perform basic math, reading, and writing and keep records.
• Willingness to lead activities and supervise children.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate an engaging before/after school program for Kindergarten–6th grade.
• Plan, organize, and lead activities that keep children learning and having fun.
• Supervise children and guide Student Child Care Leaders, ensuring safety.

What You’ll Do:

• Be part of facilitating an awesome, engaging child care program for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade.
• Plan, organize, and lead exciting activities that keep children engaged and learning.
• Supervise school-age children and guide Student Child Care Leaders, making sure everyone has fun while staying safe.

What You Need:

• A smile! Be ready to bring out the best in children through sports, games, crafts, and activities.
• Basic skills in math, reading, and writing, with the ability to keep records and communicate effectively.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Have completed two years of college or 48 units, or an AA degree or higher.
• No college credits? No problem. Take a brief District Proficiency Exam in mathematics, reading, and writing. A test can be scheduled here.
