Position Summary

The LA Galaxy Juniors & Skills Coach will demonstrate high energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism in soccer programming, including Galaxy Juniors, Skills Training, and optional coaching at birthday parties and league teams. Locations include Galaxy Park (Carson), Kinecta Soccer Center (Torrance), and future sites. As an LA Galaxy employee, you will foster positive community relationships and uphold a positive image of the organization.

Essential Functions

1. Provide a fun, organized, and safe practice environment by implementing an age-appropriate curriculum.
2. Engage participants with enthusiasm, motivation, and positive reinforcement.
3. Lead setup and cleanup, maintain equipment and apparel.
4. Communicate effectively with participants, guests, and staff.
5. Complete attendance sheets and submit to program staff.

Required Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. 0-2 years experience; willingness to learn and follow curriculum for children aged 18 months to 7 years.
3. Excitement to work with children in small groups.
4. Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays.
5. Ability to lift/push/pull 20 lbs and walk, bend, run for at least 1 hour.
6. Pass background and drug tests.

Pay Scale

• USSF Grassroots License or comparable: $20.00/hr
• USSF D License or comparable: $22.50/hr
• USSF C License or higher: $25.00/hr
