Job summary

AEG, home of the LA Galaxy Youth Programs, is seeking a part-time Youth Programs Coach to deliver high-quality soccer training across camps, classes, clinics, and leagues. Build positive community relationships while representing the LA Galaxy with professionalism and care.

You will lead safe, structured training sessions, promote skill development and character building, and coordinate with organizers. This role requires flexibility, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; BA/BS degree preferred.
• 0–2 years related youth coaching experience at HS/college level for intermediate programs.
• Soccer coaching license preferred.
• Soccer playing background with emphasis on skill building and character development.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to assess, treat, rehab and return to play per state licensure guidelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively in high-stress situations with players and staff.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand/walk/run 4–6 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide a well-organized, fun, safe training environment.
• Engage participants with enthusiasm and positive reinforcement.
• Maintain LA Galaxy issued gear in good condition.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of scheduled programs.
• Communicate effectively with staff, participants, organizers and administration.
• Follow the LA Galaxy Programs Coach Guidelines during programs.
• Provide detailed incident reports to event organizers when needed.
• Log and report major incidents requiring hospital care.
