An innovative company with proven experience in creating exciting new products that redefine what is possible in the food and beverage manufacturing industry.Position Opportunity The processing technician position was designed to ensure products are supplied to the production line. This position is responsible for the creation of batches, checking paperwork, and adhering to quality standards.Essential Duties/Responsibilities: • Know how to read formula cards, print formulas, and create formulas. • Follow GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) • Sign in and do inspections of cream tank trucks, liquid corn, and high fructose trucks as they arrive. • Understand how to mix batches properly. • Verify all the raw materials needed for formulas and check the lot numbers. • Reconfigure piping structures as needed for pump overs. • Know how to perform CIP including verification of cleaning chemicals. • Know how to open valves and release a batch to the line. • Check the details on the temperature chart: look for start time, pump over time, and stop time. • Know the difference between the hot water uses whether for a batch or hot water through the pipes. • Will be exposed to non-climate control areas (hot and cold areas)## QualificationsEducation/Training/Certifications: High School Diploma / GEDRelated Experience: Prior processing and chemical experience preferred.Knowledge/Skills Experience: • Responsible for knowing and adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions. • Frequently required standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, and moving around the facility. • Work in high noise areas and use mandatory hearing protection. • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and push a pallet full of materials.Travel Requirements: LocallyPhysical Requirements: • Standing • Walking • Sitting • Use of hands, fingers • Reaching with hands and arms • Climb and balance • Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl • Talk and hear • Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more) • Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) • Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point) • Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships)Alamance Foods Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against persons because of age, race, color, creed, religion, disability, gender, ethnic or national origin, or veteran status.
