Job summary

Skybox Critical Operations in the United States is seeking a skilled L2C Specialist I for night shift to maintain Direct-to-Chip liquid cooling systems in high-density data centers.

You will install, test, and optimize CDUs and piping, perform hydrostatic checks, read P&IDs, and ensure leak-free operation while adhering to SLA timing and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in a technical maintenance or assembly role
• Experience with Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) or chemical delivery systems
• Ability to read P&IDs and understand heat transfer and fluid dynamics
• High level of manual dexterity for small fittings and sensitive electronics
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CDUs, secondary filtration systems, and manifold networks to ensure precise flow and pressure to IT racks.
• Perform hydrostatic pressure tests and vacuum checks; execute containment protocols for fluid anomalies.
• Sample dielectric or treated water fluids; manage flush and fill operations to prevent bio-fouling or corrosion.
• Connect server-level cold plates to facility-level manifold using Quick Disconnects and precision hose routing.
• Monitor flow rates and temperatures via the BMS/EPMS, identifying thermal degradation before throttling.
• Support SLA requirements and respond promptly to service requests during the night shift.

YOUR ROLE:

The L2C Specialist I Night - (12 Hour rotating schedule) is a specialist role focused on the installation, maintenance, and integrity of Direct-to-Chip (DTC) liquid cooling systems, ensuring that high-density computing clusters receive continuous, leak-free thermal management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Operate and maintain Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), secondary filtration systems, and manifold delivery networks to ensure precise flow and pressure to the IT racks.
• Perform rigorous hydrostatic pressure testing and vacuum checks on wetted joints and hoses; execute immediate containment protocols in the event of a fluid anomaly.
• Conduct regular sampling of specialized dielectric or treated water fluids; manage “flush and fill” operations to prevent bio-fouling or corrosion within the systems.
• Facilitate the connection of server-level cold plates to the facility-level manifold using dripless Quick Disconnects (QDs) and precision hose routing.
• Monitor flow rates and “Approach Temperatures” via the BMS/EPMS, identifying thermal degradation before it triggers a server throttle or shutdown.
• Able to fulfill Service Level Agreement requirements and respond in the appropriate time to calls or service requests in order cure any problems during day shift.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certifications in Hydraulics, Advanced Plumbing, or HVAC are highly preferred.
• 1–3 years in a technical maintenance or assembly role (e.g., high-end automotive, medical device, or industrial plumbing).
• Experience with Ultra-Pure Water (UPW) or chemical delivery systems.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and understand the physics of heat transfer and fluid dynamics.
• High level of manual dexterity required for working with small-diameter fittings and sensitive electronic components.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
