Job summary

UF Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician L2 to manage the prior authorization process for complex therapies. The role collaborates with pharmacists, providers, clinic staff, payers and patients to ensure timely, accurate PA submissions that minimize delays and support continuity of care for UF Health patients.

The ideal candidate will be a registered Florida Pharmacy Technician with L2 certification within 6 months, possess Shands Pharmacy Technician experience, and demonstrate strong

Qualifications

• Registered with the Florida Board of Pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• L2 technicians must have CPhT or XCPT certification within 6 months of hire.
• 12 months of Shands Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Ability to work independently and contribute to effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage the prior authorization process for specialty/high-cost therapies.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, providers, clinic staff, payers and patients to submit PA requests accurately and on time.
• Ensure submissions are compliant to minimize delays and support continuity of care.
• Communicate and coordinate to reach timely PA decisions and patient access.
