Nscale is seeking an Infrastructure Support Engineer (L2) to join our System Engineering team in the US. You will monitor live services, triage incidents, and collaborate with US Senior Engineers and EMEA development teams to maintain platform stability.

This role offers an accelerated path toward Senior Systems Architect, with a follow-the-sun model and rotating shifts to cover non‑EMEA hours. Strong Linux/OpenStack skills and proactive documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing Linux-based infrastructure at scale.
• Hands-on OpenStack ecosystems in production or staging environments.
• Exposure to hypervisors and virtualization technologies (KVM, Proxmox).
• Methodical incident investigation and root-cause analysis approach.
• Strong English communication with technical writing capability.

Responsibilities

• Live Service Operations: Monitor, triage, and resolve complex L2 incidents across Unix/Linux environments to safeguard SLAs.
• Platform Support: Maintain compute, networking, and virtualization layers, focused on OpenStack Neutron and OpenStack Ironic.
• Follow-the-Sun Coverage: Rotate shifts to cover non-EMEA hours, enabling future APAC onboarding.
• Knowledge Management: Create and update SOPs and technical runbooks from real-time troubleshooting insights.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with US Senior Engineers and escalate to EMEA tooling teams when deep changes are needed.
