Job summary

TechDoQuest in Santa Clara, CA, is seeking a hardware installation technician to move, inspect, and install servers and switches on site. The role requires following the wire map, testing functionality, and ensuring cables are neatly bundled per client standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with network admins to verify proper cabling and connections, installing NICs, drives, memory, and other components, and assisting with unboxing and prep as needed.

Responsibilities

• Move servers and switches to required destination for installation.
• Inspect servers and switches to make sure that they are not damaged in any way.
• Smoke test servers to ensure that server is functioning as intended.
• Install servers and switches and cable it according to provided wire map.
• Make sure that all cables ran are bundled neatly and in accordance with client's standard.
• Double check with network admins to make sure everything is cabled correctly, and all connections are up.
• Install additional components needed (NIC, Drive, Memory)
• Assist in unboxing and prepping servers as needed
