Job summary

TotalMed RN in Salem, Virginia is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment. This role requires a 12-hour night shift and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend discussed. You will provide care before, during, and after delivery and support physicians during procedures.

Candidates must have ACLS, BLS, NRP and at least 3 years of acute care experience. The position offers standard travel benefits and weekly pay through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NRP are required certifications.
• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care RN experience.
• L&D-specific knowledge and ability to monitor labor and postpartum care.

Responsibilities

• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and guide breathing techniques.
• Assist physicians with epidurals, cesarean prep, and delivery procedures.
• Provide immediate newborn care and support patients emotionally.
