Job summary

Purposelink Recruitment seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse for a full-time contract in Grants, New Mexico. The role focuses on safe, evidence-based care for mothers and newborns in a fast-paced obstetric setting.

You will perform labor/delivery care, monitor fetal status, assist in vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and collaborate with OB, anesthesia, and pediatrics. Active NM RN license, BLS/ACLS/NRP, and 1–2 years L&D experience are essential.

Qualifications

Active RN license in NM and current BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications.
1–2 years of recent L&D experience in acute care.
Must reside within 60 miles of Grants facility.
Strong clinical judgment and rapid response in obstetric emergencies.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
Perform maternal and fetal assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes.
Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and obstetric emergencies.
Administer medications, IV fluids, and epidural support per orders.
Collaborate with OB, anesthesia, pediatrics, and interdisciplinary teams.
Educate patients and families on labor progression, newborn care, and postpartum expectations.
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and uphold safety standards.
