Job summary

DeTar Healthcare System in Victoria, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver patient-centered care across the nursing process. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure quality outcomes and compassionate service.

The RN provides assessment, medication administration, and education to patients and families, while adhering to safety and infection control standards in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• RN license and current state licensure
• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in acute care
• CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS/PALS preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient-centered care per nursing process
• Performs thorough patient assessments and documents findings
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors effects
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency
• Develops and updates individualized care plans with the team
• Maintains infection control protocols and safety standards
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care
• Documents care thoroughly in the medical record
