Job summary

Staff Today Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) focused on Labor & Delivery. You will monitor maternal and fetal status, interpret fetal heart rate patterns, administer medications and support labor and delivery processes in a busy hospital setting.

Shifts are 12 hours, totaling 36 hours per week, including nights, weekends and holidays. Local pay is $62 per hour with W2 employment and benefits, CEU opportunities, and more.

Qualifications

• CA license/certification in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience in a community acute care hospital
• AHA BLS/ACLS/NRP certification
• Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification
• NIHSS Certification
• MAB or CPI
• LA City Fire and Life Safety Card
• LA County Employee Health Clearance
• PSV (Primary Source Verification) as required

Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal status and interpret fetal heart rate patterns.
• Administer medications and manage labor support interventions.
• Assist with deliveries and respond to obstetric emergencies.
• Provide pain management education and support for patients and families.
• Ensure safe transitions to postpartum or newborn care and triage.
• Care for patients in Labor and Delivery, triage, and operating suites; may float to Mother-Baby Unit.
