Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP is seeking a Manager, Learning and Development Core to join the People Development team in Washington DC or Boston (hybrid). The role leads core L&D curricula and cross-office programs, partnering with design, BD, and other departments to deliver high-impact training for associates and counsel, with focus on litigation curricula and mentorship initiatives.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in L&D, including curriculum design and program evaluation.
• Strategic thinker with track record in aligning learning initiatives to organizational goals.
• Ability to design and refine curriculums for associates and counsel at various levels.
• Data-driven decision making and continuous improvement practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience leading cross-office teams and collaboration.
• Willingness to travel and adjust hours as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Manage Learning & Development Core programs and cross-office teams.
• Collaborate with People Development, People Strategy, and Centers of Excellence to align program needs.
• Maintain and enhance core curriculum for associates and counsel with a balanced mix of programs and self-study.
• Oversee the Business Development Academy with Core L&D and BD teams.
• Support all associate, counsel, and Business Services training activities.
• Lead and enhance litigation curricula for associates and counsel.
