Job summary
Corewell Health's Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids seeks an Anesthesia Care Nurse (ACN) for Labor and Delivery. This part-time night role coordinates anesthesia care, manages labor epidurals, and assists with spinal and general anesthesia for cesarean sections. 2C/3C units, 7:00pm–7:30am shifts, 24 hours weekly.
Required are an Associates in Nursing, RN licensure in Michigan, BLS and ACLS within defined timelines, and 5+ years in women's health; ICU experience is preferred.
Qualifications
- Associates in Nursing required.
- Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years.
- MI RN license required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required within specified timelines.
- 5+ years of women's health nursing experience preferred.
- ICU experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate anesthesia care on Labor and Delivery, liaising with labor nurses and anesthesiologists.
- Assist with labor epidurals, placement, dosing and troubleshooting.
- Support spinal and general anesthesia for cesarean sections and obstetrical procedures.
- Evaluate obstetrical patients on admission and provide anesthesia-related education.
