AngelList is hiring a KYC Operations Associate to own the standard for investor verification across the platform. You’ll manage the queue, serve as SME, and push product and policy improvements with engineering and compliance.

This is a full-time role reporting to an Operations Manager on the banking operations team. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in KYC/AML operations, a precise, independent working style, and comfort with high-volume, audit-ready decisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in KYC/AML operations, with CIP, CDD/EDD, beneficial ownership, and sanctions/PEP screening.
• Precise by default; handles sensitive data and real money, catching own errors.
• Capable of high-volume queue with audit-ready decisions.
• Independent with broad scope; does not need a fixed lane.
• Open to automation and AI-driven improvements.

Responsibilities

• Run KYC/KYB/CDD reviews end to end, verifying identity, ownership, and sanctions/PEP screening within SLA.
• Make hard calls on elevated cases and document decisions so auditors can reconstruct them.
• Serve as a consistent, reliable KYC resource for internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Design and ship system improvements with engineering, adapting to policy changes.
• Build agents and automations to handle real KYC volume and contribute to architecture.
