Job summary

KW Plastics & KW Plastics Recycling Division in Alabama is seeking a reliable driver to operate company CMVs in compliance with DOT regulations. The role transports materials to designated locations and supports loading/unloading as needed.

You will maintain trip logs, perform pre-trip inspections, and uphold safety standards while communicating with dispatch and plant personnel.

Qualifications

• Prolonged periods of walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing or kneeling
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
• Proper use of various equipment and job-related tools
• Able to work in various work environments (inside/outside)

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company-owned commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies
• Transport materials, products and equipment to and from designated locations
• Secure loads properly and inspect cargo for compliance and safety
• Maintain accurate trip logs, bills of lading and required documentation
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT requirements
• Report mechanical issues, defects or needed repairs promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned vehicles
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA and company safety regulations
• Follow hours-of-service requirements and electronic logging device (ELD) procedures as applicable
• Adhere to plant safety rules when operating at KW Plastics facilities locations
• Report accidents, incidents or violations immediately
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors and plant personnel
• Maintain professional interactions with customers, vendors and the public
• Assist with loading and unloading as required
• Perform related duties as assigned to support transportation operations

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Driving & Transportation
