Job summary

Cypress HCM seeks a Platform Engineer specializing in Kubernetes and observability to support reliability and scalability of a shared product platform. The role focuses on production-grade Kubernetes operations across multiple clusters, with collaboration on a custom observability platform and related tooling.

The ideal candidate brings extensive hands-on Kubernetes experience, expertise in Helm and GitOps (ArgoCD), and strong DevOps practices across CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS).

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on Kubernetes production experience across multiple clusters.
• Strong Helm and Kubernetes packaging expertise.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, ArgoCD, and cloud platforms such as AWS.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, maintain, and scale containerized applications across multiple production Kubernetes clusters.
• Help ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of shared platform services.
• Manage application packaging and deployments using Helm.
• Identify opportunities to automate recurring operational tasks and implement self-healing solutions.
• Support CI/CD workflows and GitOps-driven testing and deployment processes.
• Automate infrastructure and application configuration through infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Implement automated health checks, recovery mechanisms, and failover processes to enable zero-downtime deployments and updates.
• Work closely with engineering teams to promote best practices around reliability and observability.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship related to platform and operational best practices.
