Job summary
HII Mission Technologies in Springfield, VA seeks a Platform Systems Engineer to build and optimize container platforms, translating requirements into robust architectures. You will ensure reliability, security, and automation across hybrid-cloud ecosystems, bridging infrastructure and application delivery with a deep Linux and DevSecOps focus.
The role requires 5+ years of container orchestration and Kubernetes/OpenShift experience, a DoD TS/SCI clearance, and a strong background in cloud
Qualifications
- 5+ years end-to-end container orchestration experience.
- 5+ years deploying and managing Kubernetes/OpenShift or managed K8s.
- Mastery of cluster lifecycle management and IaC tooling (Terraform/Helm/Ansible).
- Strong knowledge of Linux, cloud-native networking and DevSecOps.
- DoD 8140/CSWF 661-Intermediate credential or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement Kubernetes clusters, manage core components, and develop deployment automation.
- Create and maintain CI/CD integrations, containerized solutions, and optimize cluster performance.
- Support architecture documentation, IaC patterns, testing, and secure, standards-aligned operations.
