Job summary

Lowe’s Home Centers, LLC in Charlotte is seeking a Software Engineer to build and evolve the Kubernetes platform capabilities powering enterprise applications. You will apply software engineering, automation, and hands-on Kubernetes experience to improve platform reliability and developer experience.

You will own your area while collaborating with senior engineers on architecture and infrastructure challenges, using Go, Python, Terraform, and GitOps in cloud-native environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of software development experience.
• 2 years working with SDLC and agile methods.
• Experience with frontend, middleware, or DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Build, automate, and support Kubernetes platform capabilities across on-prem, edge, and cloud.
• Develop automation and platform services using Go, Python, Shell, APIs, and IaC.
• Support Kubernetes provisioning, configuration, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot production issues across Kubernetes, Linux, containers.
• Contribute to platform capabilities across virtualization, networking, storage, observability, security, and GitOps.
• Participate in design discussions to improve reliability and scalability.
• Identify opportunities to reduce toil and increase automation.
• Contribute to production readiness, incident response, and documentation.
• Work with Kubernetes in production and collaborate with senior engineers.
