Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, develop, and optimize Kubernetes platforms supporting enterprise AI capabilities for mission customers. The role is performed 100% on-site at the customer site in Bethesda, Maryland, at the Intelligence Community Campus.

The candidate will design, configure, and maintain Kubernetes platforms, develop Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/Salt/Ansible, and implement secure CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/EE or related field with 5+ years in Platform/Systems Eng.
• Experience designing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise Kubernetes platforms.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling.
• Experience with AI/ML workflows and platform integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise Kubernetes platforms and optimize architecture for performance.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Salt, Ansible, Bash, Python.
• Collaborate to design secure, automated CI/CD pipelines including GitLab CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, network, and platform layers.
• Maintain documentation and support security/compliance activities.
