Description:
We are seeking a talented individual to join our OpenStack Platform Operations team at Marsh McLennan. This role can be based in Louisville KY, or a local office. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, configuring, and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in a dynamic, high-availability environment, working closely with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure the smooth deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
Install, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (on-premises or cloud-based).
Ensure the high availability, scalability, and reliability of Kubernetes environments.
Perform upgrades and patch management for Kubernetes and its associated components.
Manage and troubleshoot deployments using Helm charts, manifests, or other CI/CD tools.
Monitor and optimize Kubernetes resources, such as pods, nodes, and namespaces.
Implement and enforce Kubernetes security best practices, including RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
Provide technical guidance and support to developers and DevOps teams.
Maintain detailed documentation of Kubernetes configurations and operational processes.
Proficiency in managing Kubernetes clusters using tools such as kubectl, Helm, or Kustomize.
In-depth knowledge of container technologies, including Docker.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes services (EKS, GKE, AKS).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go).
