Senior AWS Cloud Platform Engineer

Full Time Remote (San Antonio-based individuals)

Secret Clearance

**This position is contingent upon contract award**

Job Responsibilities:

Provide subject matter expertise for the assigned tasks. Responsible for supporting process improvements, conducting specialized studies, and defining requirements.

Job Description:

• Experience with provisioning and using cloud services (AWS).
• Subject matter expertise in application lifecycle management within containerized Kubernetes environments.
• Responsible for installation, orchestration, configuration, security, and validation of clusters.
• Thorough understanding of networking, DNS, scheduling, troubleshooting, logging, and monitoring.
• Participate in establishing architectural standards supporting DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, policy as code, and CI/CD.
• Proficiency with AWS tools such as Kubernetes, EKS, Lambda, and others in a cloud environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 6-8 years proven experience as a DevOps or AWS Engineer.
• Strong proficiency with AWS services (EKS, CloudFormation, Lambda, S3, EC2, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• Strong scripting skills (Java, Bash, etc.) for automation.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Five years of experience on containerized platforms.
• IAT II Certification and Secret clearance.

Preferred certifications include AWS Kubernetes CKA or equivalent training, plus at least two AWS certifications. Experience can substitute for certifications as specified.
