Job summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer (Technical and Cloud Computing Engineer Staff IV/V) to maintain on-prem and cloud Kubernetes clusters and support telemetry analysis workflows. You’ll work on a multidisciplinary infra team at on-site facilities in El Segundo, CA or Chantilly, VA, collaborating with scientists and engineers on space programs.
Requirements include 5+ years in enterprise environments with Kubernetes, 2+ years hands-on Kubernetes experience, Linux
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years of high availability enterprise experience.
- 2+ years hands-on Kubernetes experience (deployment, upgrade, patching, backups).
- Experience with Linux administration in an enterprise environment.
- Strong networking fundamentals and scripting/DevOps automation.
Responsibilities
- Manage Kubernetes for on-prem and AWS production environments with end-to-end ownership.
- Perform security patching of Kubernetes layers and maintain high uptime.
- Own production AWS and Kubernetes services; resolve engineering problems independently.
- Support telemetry analysis workflows and partner workloads in Kubernetes.
- Provide Linux troubleshooting and contribute to automation and testing of new tools.
