Job summary

Allstate seeks a Container Platform Technical Digital Product Manager to own the lifecycle of a Kubernetes-based container platform across data centers and cloud environments. This hands-on role shapes product vision, discovery, roadmaps, and backlog prioritization to maximize platform value.

You will partner with stakeholders to define success, manage disclosures, and drive lifecycle management with a focus on security and vulnerability controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years relevant new product or technology development experience.
• Experience with Platform as a Service or container orchestration across Kubernetes distros (EKS/AKS/GKE/RKE2).
• Fundamental Kubernetes concepts and kubectl familiarity.
• Strong cloud services experience across providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code and immutable infrastructure principles.
• Clear ability to communicate complex concepts to a mixed technical team.
• Experience in KPI-driven environments with actionable outcomes.
• Agile ceremonies and technical story writing proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Create, drive and execute product strategy for expanding Kubernetes container platform.
• Build a comprehensive roadmap prioritizing platform features and measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define success criteria and validate assumptions.
• Navigate container technologies and translate insights into product decisions.
• Decompose problems into actionable items and prioritize by value and risk.
• Develop internal/external communications to boost awareness and adoption.
• Define metrics to measure success and inform product strategy.
• Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to validate direction.
• Own lifecycle management; keep stack components updated with security in mind.
• Balance feature delivery with lifecycle work to reduce risks.
