Job summary

Allstate is seeking a Container Platform Technical Digital Product Manager to lead the lifecycle of the Kubernetes-based container platform across data centers and clouds. You will own vision, discovery, roadmaps, and backlog prioritization to maximize platform value and partner with teams to deliver secure, scalable hosting for digital products.

The role is highly technical and hands-on, with coaching responsibilities and a focus on measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in new product or technology development in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with Platform as a Service or container orchestration across Kubernetes distributions (RKE2, EKS, AKS, GKE).
• Basic understanding of Kubernetes concepts and kubectl commands.
• Solid understanding of cloud services across providers.
• Infrastructure as code and immutable infrastructure concepts.

Responsibilities

• Create, drive and execute product strategy for expanding Kubernetes container platform.
• Create and execute comprehensive roadmap prioritizing platform features and measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define success criteria and validate needs.
• Navigate complex container technologies to inform product decisions.
• Decompose complex problems into manageable work items and prioritize by value and risk.
• Develop and execute internal/external communication strategies to increase awareness and adoption.
• Define and manage metrics to measure success and inform strategy.
• Engage in discovery/test & learn activities to validate assumptions and direction.
• Own lifecycle management to keep stack components updated without impacting hosted apps.
• Balance feature delivery with lifecycle management to reduce risks.
