Job summary

MGM Resorts Springfield is seeking a Model Bartender to craft drinks and deliver memorable guest experiences at our casino and entertainment complex in Massachusetts. You will mix beverages, maintain bar stock, and provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, following recipes and food service as needed.

• Maintain bar inventory and pars, request stock as needed.
• Ring beverages, process payments, and handle cash procedures including daily reports.
• Mentor apprentice bartender and bar porter on bar operations and guest service.
• Clean equipment and bar area, ensuring sanitation and upkeep.
• Participate in casino promotions and brand events when applicable.
• Resolve guest complaints within authority or escalate appropriately.

THE JOB:

THE STARTING RATE:

$9.50 per hour plus tips

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Make and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed
• Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
• Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar
• Ring beverages that are poured or served, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork
• Provide apprentice bartender and bar porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service, and bartending
• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order, including cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar
• Participate in modeling, presentations and promotions programs throughout the casino and resort if applicable
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Has an high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Has 1+ years of prior relevant rxperience in food & beverage, cocktail service, nightclub, or entertainment venue.

Pay Rate

The rate for this role is: $9.50

This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.

The estimated annual tips this role could reasonably be anticipated to receive is: $0 - $13,800.

Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
