Helen Ross McNabb Center is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Knox C&Y IST team in outpatient clinics. You will maintain schedules, handle calls and emails, and assist with intake processes to ensure timely service delivery.
The role requires previous clinic reception experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR certification, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lb. This is a full-time, on-site position with travel between locations as needed.
Position at McNabb Center to support the Child & Youth Intensive Service Team (C&Y IST) in outpatient clinic settings.
The Knox C&Y IST team functions as a multidisciplinary group of providers in therapy, case management, care coordination, and medication management for children and adolescents aged birth to 21 years. This administrative assistant contributes to the team by maintaining a positive work climate, fostering harmonious relationships among staff, performing scheduling and communication duties, and ensuring timely response to all calls, flags, and emails.
Maintain schedule for all C&Y IST clinicians, staff psychiatrists, and APNs; coordinate with centralized scheduling to meet productivity standards. Input and print necessary information in Athena daily, keep cancellation list updated, and manage changes in schedule promptly.
Manage all phone calls and messages for nurses, clinicians, and staff psychiatrists/APNs. Answer calls from 8 AM to 5 PM, scribe and direct messages accurately, and triage priorities throughout the day.
Support clinic flow through Open Access model for intake assessments and ensure clients are seen on the day of intake when possible.
Outpatient office setting.
Starting salary approximately $16.84 per hour, based on experience and education.
Reliable, predictable 40 hours per week on site with regular attendance.
Travel between McNabb locations and use of a personal vehicle is required; maintaining dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.
