Job summary

Amentum has an opportunity for a collaborative, highly skilled Knowledge Management Specialist / Data Scientist supporting US PACOM initiatives. Located at Camp H.M.

Smith, Hawaii, this role bridges data science analytics with knowledge management to build actionable intelligence across DoD networks using SharePoint, MS Teams, and a growing KM ecosystem. The ideal candidate combines deep data science experience with knowledge management, information governance, and excellent communication skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Systems, IT, Cybersecurity, KM, PM or related field or 10 years equivalent experience.
• Eight years of data science experience with analytical models, pipelines, and proofs.
• Four years in knowledge/content management or information governance in complex environments.
• Advanced MS Teams/SharePoint expertise including permissions, metadata tagging, and document management.
• Proficiency with Python, SQL, and enterprise visualization tools; familiarity with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge management, data science analytics, and support across classified/unclassified networks and collaboration platforms.
• Architect and maintain Teams/SharePoint structures to optimize information flow and retention.
• Build predictive models, test hypotheses, and analyze historical trends.
• Translate requirements into dashboards and documentation for decision-makers.
• Manage site permissions and KM SOPs; participate in KM working groups.
• Localization and simplification for international partners; produce clear documentation.
• Develop and maintain knowledge bases and document management workflows.
• Contribute to training materials and KM process improvements.
• Support International S&T initiatives (POST, JIE) and coordinate with stakeholders.
