Job summary

Pullman School District 267 Pullman High School in Pullman, Washington is seeking a Knowledge Bowl Advisor to organize and coordinate the Knowledge Bowl program and prepare students for competitions.

The role reports to the principal or designee, starts immediately, and offers a stipend of $2,383 to $2,788 per school year. Experience advising students and a driver’s license upon hire are required.

Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain a Pullman School District Type II driver’s license upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit teams for Knowledge Bowl Competitions.
  • Hold appropriate meetings with students to prepare them for competition.
  • Assemble appropriate materials, arrange for relevant speakers, and hold practice sessions to prepare for competition.
  • Coordinate plans for competition with appropriate agencies/other advisors.
  • Supervise students in and at competitions.
  • Develop summer time reading list from the guides provided by the Knowledge Bowl program.
  • Develop a systematic program and status reports to inform school personnel regarding the Knowledge Bowl program and competition.
  • Fulfill other duties as required to appropriately field teams for competitions.

Job Description

DEFINITION OF POSITION : To organize and coordinate the Knowledge Bowl program at Pullman High School


IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR : Principal or Designee



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :



  • Evidence of successful student activity advising experience

  • Ability to obtain a Pullman School District Type II driver’s license upon hire



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :



  • Experience working with high school students in an academic setting

  • First Aid/CPR Certification



ESSENTIAL JOB-RELATED ACTIVITIES :
