Job summary

DecisionPoint Corporation seeks a Knowledge Base Manager to lead documentation governance and lifecycle management across a DoD-aligned mission environment. You will create, structure, and optimize SOPs, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and service catalog items to support service desk, engineering, and cybersecurity teams.

• Clear written communication and strong editing skills.
• Ability to structure complex technical information into user-friendly content.
• Experience translating SME input into structured KB content.
• Experience documenting SOPs, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and service catalog items.
• Familiarity with ITIL knowledge management practices and governance.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle of knowledge articles: drafting, publishing, retiring.
• Maintain SOPs, runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and service catalog items.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to standards.
• Collaborate with Tier 1–3 teams to capture tribal knowledge for KB content.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity, engineering, and cloud teams for updates and changes.
• Implement taxonomy, tagging, metadata, and governance controls for discoverability.
• Regularly review content to prevent staleness and drift.
• Improve documentation workflows and processes.
• Maintain version history and archival procedures.
• Support compliance documentation aligned with federal/DoD quality expectations.
• Provide training on submitting, updating, and using articles.
• Manage formatting and readability of technical content.
