Lodgco Hospitality is seeking a friendly, service-oriented Host for Canopy by Hilton in downtown Grand Rapids, MI. You will welcome guests, manage seating, and support bar and dining operations to ensure a positive guest experience.

Ideal candidates have High School diploma or equivalent and can work evenings, weekends, and holidays. English fluency and strong time management are essential.

Canopy by Hilton, a contemporary boutique hotel located in downtown Grand Rapids, is on the lookout for a friendly and service-oriented Host at Knoop, the hotel's exquisite rooftop cocktail lounge! If you have strong time management skills, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to creating positive guest experiences, we would love to hear from you!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist servers with table clearing, cleaning, and setting
• Help maintain the bar's stock levels during service
• Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary
• Perform opening and closing duties, as needed.
• Completes side work to include polishing/rolling silverware, stocking condiments and glasses, sweeping and cleaning as directed by supervisor. Practices "clean as you go" method, and sanitation standards.
• Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs.
• Seat guests and manage the seating chart.
• Receive incoming calls and provide information in a polite and professional manner.
• Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow.
• Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.
• Follow proper cashiering functions by completing/closing guest checks and submitting information into POS system.

REQUIRED/PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
• 6 months of experience working in a related position preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is required to have visual acuity to operate machinery and tools, determine accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of food and make general observations of facilities. This position is primarily indoors and may subject the employee to high or cold temperatures from machinery and moderate noise level.
