Job summary

Carolina Herrera invites internship applicants to join a program designed to give hands-on experience across multiple departments in a small, collaborative environment. You will learn by working closely with design, product development, and related teams.

The internship focuses on collection development, techpacks, and collaboration with the design team, offering exposure to fittings, color palettes, and textile artistry.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of knitwear and garment construction is preferred.
  • Basic skills in Photoshop/Illustrator/ProCreate are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Create collection boards and update seasonal line sheets.
  • Prepare knitwear fabric cards after swatches are approved.
  • Make colorups of illustrations using Photoshop/Illustrator or ProCreate.
  • Assist with artwork layouts (intarsia, stripes, crochet, jacquards).
  • Assist design and product development in collection development.
  • Shadow Design Department with techpacks, packages, and factory communications.
  • Participate in design and concept developments.
  • Shadow manager with textile artwork creation and approvals.
  • Witness embroidery and embellishment creation and approvals.
  • Contribute to color palettes and inspiration boards.
  • Attend design fittings and take notes during knitwear fittings.
  • Participate in pre-show styling/fittings.

What you'll get to do

  • Make collection boards, and update seasonal line sheets.
  • Prepare knitwear fabric cards once swatches are approved
  • Make colorups of illustrations using Photoshop and illustrator, and/or ProCreate
  • Assist with creating of artwork layouts (intarsia, stripes, crochet, jacquards).
  • Assist design department and product development team with collection development.
  • Shadow Design Department with all department related activities specifically focusing on creating techpacks, preparing packages, daily factory communications
  • Participate in Design and Concept Developments
  • Shadow Manager with creation and approval of Textile artwork
  • Witness the creation and approval of Embroideries and Embellishments
  • Participate in the creation and approval of Color Palettes and Inspiration Boards
  • Participate in design fittings & take notes during knitwear fittings
  • Participate in pre‑show styling/fittings

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organization and computer skills, including MS Office
  • AI Photoshop / illustrator / Procreate basic skills
  • Knowledge of knitwear, garment construction, a sense of color, and presentation skills
