Job summary

Autumn Cashmere in New York City is seeking a Fall Design Intern to support our knitwear design team. This paid, on-site internship offers hands-on exposure to luxury fashion and eligibility for school credit.

You will participate in seasonal research, concept development, sketches, color stories, and sample preparation, gaining practical experience across the design process. Schedule: 2–3 days per week; Mondays required; compensation: $20/hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with seasonal trend, color, and market research.

• Organize samples and maintain design archives.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or comparable design software
• Strong research, organization, and time‑management skills
• Good understanding of color, texture, proportion, and fashion trends
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced studio environment
• A portfolio demonstrating relevant fashion, textile, or design work
• Currently pursuing or recently completed coursework in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field
• Available to work on‑site in New York City throughout the fall internship period

Compensation & Academic Credit

Compensation: $20/hour

Academic Credit: This internship is eligible for school credit, subject to the requirements and approval of the intern’s educational institution.
