Job summary

Southeastern Container Inc. in Kings Mountain, NC is seeking a Blowmolding Machine Operator to operate and monitor blowmolding equipment ensuring product quality.

You will start, stop and run machines per safety procedures, monitor preform feeding and applicable coding and testing, report issues to the Team Leader, and maintain a clean, safe work environment while meeting production goals.

Responsibilities

• Start, stop, and run blowmolding machines per established safety and operational procedures.
• Monitor preform feed to assure continuous operation of the equipment and verify correct products and preforms.
• Monitor production for adherence to quality specifications and notify the Team Leader of potential problems.
• Account for machine scrap and process scrap as directed by the Team Leader.
• Perform visual and technical tests on bottles to verify conformity to quality specs and report any out of specification product.
• Work with the Team Leader to isolate any production identified as out of specification.
• Monitor support equipment (conveyors, labelers) and report any malfunctions; calibrate equipment as directed.
• Attend training classes as requested.
• Maintain a clean working environment and follow safety guidelines; report unsafe conditions to the Team Leader.
• Complete required reports as directed by the Team Leader.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Team Leader.
• Comply with product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality.

Summary

Responsible for operation of blowmolding equipment and any related equipment that is necessary to assure production of bottles of optimum quality.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Start, stop, and run blowmolding machines per established safety and operational procedures.
• Monitor preform feed to assure continuous operation of the equipment. Verify that the correct product is produced using the correct preforms as specified by Production Scheduling. Assure that date coding equipment is operating properly and is applying the correct information.
• Monitor production for adherence to quality specifications and notify the Team Leader of potential problems.
• Account for machine scrap. Process scrap as directed by the Team Leader.
• Perform visual and technical tests on bottles to verify conformity to established quality specifications. Immediately report any out of specification product to the Team Leader.
• Work with the Team Leader to isolate any production that has been identified as out of specification.
• Monitor support equipment such as conveyors and labelers and immediately report any obvious malfunctions to the Maintenance Team. Assure that any automated defect detection or quality test equipment appears to be operating correctly. Perform any tests to calibrate equipment as directed.
• Attend training classes as requested.
• Maintain a clean working environment and follow all safety guidelines and policies at all times. Report any unsafe conditions to the Team Leader.
• Complete any required reports as directed by the Team Leader.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Team Leader.
• Comply with all activities related to product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality.
