Job summary

BlackHawk Industrial is seeking a Warehouse Assistant - Kitting in Greenwood, IN. The role handles order filing, receiving inventory, and shipping orders, in support of the Whiteland, IN location's Kitting Department. This safety-sensitive position requires pre-employment drug screening and adherence to ISO processes.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED plus up to 2 years of inventory/receiving experience, with proficiency in basic computer systems and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Year of previous experience required.
• Up to 2 years of experience in a similar position preferred, including inventory and receiving experience.
• Must be proficient with P21, Clippership, World Ship and basic computer operation.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming shipments against packing slips.
• Accurately sort, maintain, and stage product.
• Put away stock with proper labeling and placement.
• Receive purchase orders, pick product and package for shipping.
• Check items to be shipped against picking ticket to assure quantities, destinations and routing are correct.
• Log non-conforming product and verify returned goods.
• Responsible for cycle counts with Purchasing to correct discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and a clean and organized workspace.
• Perform hands-on tasks using spreadsheets, databases, and data processing.
• Perform all work in accordance with ISO processes and procedures.
