Amazon Leo Machine Shop in Redmond, WA is seeking a Kitting Specialist for Machining. You will assemble complete production kits with all raw materials, cutting tools, gauges, and setup sheets for CNC work orders, bridging engineering, warehouse, and floor operators to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Lean Manufacturing knowledge and continuous improvement principles.
2+ years of CNC machining or kitting experience.
Ability to read engineering drawings, BOMs, and CAD/CAM setup sheets.
Hands-on ERP/CMMS/inventory systems experience.
Proficient with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers).

Responsibilities

Assemble comprehensive production kits with materials, tooling, gauges, and docs for CNC orders.
Review BOMs, blueprints, and CAD/CAM sheets to ensure correct components.
Stage completed kits at machining cells to minimize delays.
Log and return used components via ERP/CMMS; return tooling to stock.
Preset and assemble cutting tools into holders with presetter machinery.
Measure tool offsets and update tooling databases or RFID tags.
Inspect and maintain fixtures, dies, and workholding equipment.
Track tool wear and determine replacement/regrind needs.
Monitor stock levels of raw materials and consumables; initiate purchases.
Audit and organize tool crib and kitting zones using 5S principles.
