Marathon Equipment in Vernon, AL seeks a Kitter Operator to organize kits based on load schedules and verify parts availability in the ERP system. You will read work orders, coordinate with Fab, and prepare production kits while maintaining safety and inventory accuracy.

Responsibilities include updating load schedules in Excel, prioritizing kits, and assisting with forklift operations. This role requires lifting up to 40 pounds and occasional overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of different production lines and Marathon equipment parts.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and understand written instructions.
• Ability to read lists and bills of materials and use PC-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety regulations and report unsafe conditions.
• Read work orders to determine kitting requirements and use ERP to check parts.
• Coordinate materials with Supervisor and Fab department.
• Monitor and update load schedule and label kits in Excel.
• Prioritize kits based on load schedules.
• Maintain forklift certifications and assist with heavy lifting as required.
• Perform preventive maintenance checks on forklifts and equipment.
• Complete maintenance checklists and submit requests when needed.
• Identify materials and parts required for production.
• Support production requirements, including potential overtime.
• Keep work area and equipment clean and organized.
• Prepare production kits containing raw materials and sub-assemblies.
