Qualifications

  • Experience reading work orders, BOMs, pick lists, or manufacturing documentation.
  • Basic computer skills and ERP data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy.
  • Ability to stand and move throughout a manufacturing/warehouse environment.

Position Overview

Build Equipment That Powers Critical Infrastructure At Thomson Power Systems, we're building more than products, we're building the future of power reliability. Our new Arlington, Texas manufacturing facility produces electrical power distribution and switchgear equipment used by data centers, utilities, hospitals, and other critical facilities throughout North America. As an Assembler, you'll be part of a growing team helping build products that keep businesses, communities, and critical operations running. Whether you're starting a career in manufacturing or looking to develop new technical skills, this role provides hands-on training, growth opportunities, and a chance to be part of an exciting new facility launch. We are looking for a detail-oriented Kitter Associate to ensure production teams have the right materials, in the right quantities, at the right time. In this role, you will pick, stage, and organize materials for manufacturing work orders while proactively identifying shortages, inventory discrepancies, and material quality concerns. Your success will be measured by kit accuracy, production readiness, and the timely communication of material issues that could impact manufacturing schedules. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and works closely with Production, Purchasing, Planning, and Inventory teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately pick and kit materials for production orders while maintaining a target kit accuracy rate of 98% or higher.
  • Stage and organize materials in a logical, production-friendly manner to minimize assembly time and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Verify material quantities, part numbers, revisions, and documentation before releasing kits to production.
  • Identify, report, and escalation material shortages, inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or quality concerns that could impact production schedules.
  • Maintain organized staging, storage, and kitting areas using 5S and visual management principles.
  • Collaborate with Production, Planning, and Warehouse personnel to prioritize urgent orders and resolve material-related issues.
  • Perform inventory transactions and material movements within ERP or warehouse management systems accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support cycle counts, inventory audits, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving inventory accuracy and material flow.
  • Executes and dispositions approved Excess and Obsolete lists.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain compliance with material handling and warehouse operating standards.
  • Must be able to work independently and/or as a team member.
  • Must be willing to be trained to operate an electric pallet jack.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, materials, logistics, or inventory-related environment.
  • Ability to accurately lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Experience reading work orders, bills of material (BOMs), pick lists, or manufacturing documentation.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to enter transactions into ERP, inventory, or warehouse management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of inventory and kit accuracy.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience working in a lean manufacturing or 5S environment.
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
  • Experience using an RF Scanner Experience with SAP, or other ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, cycle counting, and material replenishment processes.
  • Experience supporting assembly, fabrication, switchgear, electrical equipment, or industrial manufacturing operations.

Pay Rate-$21.00/hour

Shift-Monday-Thursday 5:45AM-4:15PM
