Job summary

Graton Resort & Casino is hiring a Kitchen Worker to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, washing dishes, utensils, glassware, pots and pans, and small equipment. The role supports sanitation, safety, and basic maintenance while assisting with opening/closing cleaning duties during shifts.

Candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, follow safety protocols, and have or obtain a California Food Handlers Certificate.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
• Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Job description

Position Summary:
The Kitchen Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen bywashing dishes, utensils, glassware, pots & pans, and small kitchen equipment. The Kitchen Workerposition also assists with cleaning duties, such as wiping down surfaces, taking out trash, and maintainingfloors, walls, and basic kitchen fixtures. The Kitchen Worker supports overall kitchen operations byensuring a clean and safe environment, helping with minor maintenance tasks as assigned, and followingall sanitation and safety guidelines.

Essential Functions

1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promotingour values.
2. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
3. Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, glassware, and small kitchen equipment according to established procedures.
4. Operate commercial dishwashing machines safely and correctly.
5. Empty trash and recycling bins and properly dispose of waste materials.
6. Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts, ensuring proper separation and handling.
7. Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping floors as needed.
8. Clean food prep stations and kitchen equipment.
9. Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, counters, and sinks throughout the shift.
10. Ensure that all caution and safety markers are displayed properly.
11. Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor immediately.
12. Safely use all cleaning tools and chemicals.
13. Adhere to health, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.
14. Stock clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated areas.
15. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
16. Perform opening, closing, and scheduled cleaning duties as assigned by supervisors.
17. Maintain a professional appearance and positive, team-oriented attitude.
