Job summary

Hebrew SeniorLife in Boston is seeking a Kitchen Helper to support cleaning, sanitation, and daily maintenance of all kitchen equipment across outlets. You will follow health standards, assist with opening/closing checklists, and help deliver meals around the campus.

The role requires a High School degree or equivalent, at least one year in a food service setting, and Food Handler awareness. Flexible hours including weekends; physical endurance for long periods and lifting may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent.
• At least one year in a quality food service operation is preferred.
• Must attend or be Food Handler aware.

Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen and surrounding areas clean, organized, and maintained.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment per health standards.
• Assist with inventories, opening/closing sanitation checklists, and stock rotation.
• Wash dishes, silverware, glassware, pots and pans and ensure cleanliness.
• Deliver food around the campus as needed.
• Attend in-service sessions to stay updated on nutrition and dietary related practices.
