Job summary

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants in Michigan seeks a General Utility to maintain kitchen areas, equipment, plateware and utensils in a clean, sanitary condition. Assists in food preparation and supports a culture aligned with the TSFR Roadmap and Core Values.

You will perform dishwashing prep, cleaning, trash removal and basic line support, with a steady pace in a hot, sometimes damp environment. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work across indoor/outdoor areas may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses dishes and loads the dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand or machine.
• Performs assigned prep work.
• Removes trash to dumpster area.
• Cleans tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment and floors.
• Cleans garbage cans and receptacles.
• Maintains and breaks down the dish machine.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times daily.
• Places plates, utensils and pans on shelves.
• Primarily indoor work with some outdoor duties.
