Job summary

Paradies Lagardère is seeking a Kitchen Utility Staff member to support kitchen operations at GRR International Airport. You will help maintain cleanliness, handle dishwashing, and assist with various prep tasks to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

The role requires a strong work ethic, basic sanitation knowledge, and the ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends. Growth opportunities exist within a dynamic culinary team at the airport.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen utility or similar role preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and responsibility for cleanliness and organization.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively in a team.
• Physical stamina to stand long periods and lift/carry.
• Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to detail and effective prioritization.
• Positive attitude with willingness to learn in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards in all kitchen areas, including dishwashing, equipment, floors and surfaces.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots and pans efficiently.
• Assist with food preparation tasks under kitchen staff supervision.
• Stock supplies and organize storage areas.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen storage area and proper storage of supplies.
• Assist with waste disposal and recycling following procedures.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth operations, including plating and garnishing.
• Assist in setup and breakdown of kitchen stations before and after service.
• Take direction from kitchen manager and contribute to a positive work environment.

• Support the kitchen team in organizing and stocking supplies, including food ingredients, cleaning chemicals, and utensils.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen storage area, including proper storage of supplies and equipment.
• Assist with the disposal of waste and recycling, following proper procedures.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations, including assisting with plating and garnishing dishes.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen utility or similar role is preferred but not required.
