Job summary

Love's Travel Stops is hiring a Kitchen Team Member in Van Horn, Texas. You will deliver friendly customer service, help maintain a clean and stocked deli, and learn to prepare fresh deli items like salads and sandwiches.

Training is provided for those with no prior experience, and you will join a supportive team. You will work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities to move across departments, and you must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work in different temperatures.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly service at the deli and related counters.
• Prepare deli products such as salads, sandwiches, wraps, and fresh fruit according to guidelines.
• Maintain food safety and clean, stocked deli area and beverage stations throughout shift.
• Assist with other duties across departments as needed.
• Lift and move up to 25+ pounds and work in varying temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.
• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.
• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.
• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.
• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
