Job summary

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. is seeking a Kitchen Team Member to deliver top-notch customer service in a fast-paced deli environment. You will prepare a variety of deli offerings and keep the area clean and well-stocked while following food safety guidelines.

No prior experience is required; we provide training. This role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth within a company recognized for its employee development.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required; comprehensive training provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide excellent service in the deli and beverage areas.
• Prepare deli items per guides (salads, fruit, sandwiches, parfait cups).
• Maintain food safety and keep the deli area clean and stocked.
• Assist cashier team with cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars.
• Lift up to 25 pounds and work in varying temperatures.

As a Kitchen Team Member, your role goes beyond daily tasks. You will interact with people from all walks of life, brightening their day with top-notch customer service and maintaining a clean, stocked deli area. No experience? No problem! We will teach you!

Job Functions:

• General customer service duties including, but not limited to, answering questions about menu offerings, and addressing customer needs. Additionally, assisting store cashier team members in cleaning and maintaining the deli, coffee, and fountain bars with fresh offerings throughout the shift.


• Accurately prepare deli products as instructed in designated preparation guides to include salads, fresh-cut fruit, cold/hot sandwiches and wraps, parfait cups, etc.


• Use a variety of methods and technologies to ensure we follow company policies and procedures to maintain proper food safety conditions.


• Additional duties could include cross-training in other departments such as Store Cashier, Restaurant Cashier, Facility Maintenance, and Leadership Roles.


• Ability to move, lift 25+ pounds. Ability to work in various temperatures.
